Established in 2025 at Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School, the School of AI for Science represents a strategic initiative by Peking University to address the scientific and industrial transformations of the intelligence era. As the world’s first higher education institution to establish AI for Science as an academic discipline, the School is dedicated to advancing the deep integration of artificial intelligence and fundamental sciences. It focuses on developing a dual-track mentorship system, pioneering a research paradigm that merges scientific first principles with big data, and fostering an open and collaborative innovation ecosystem. Through these efforts, the School aims to nurture the next generation of talent equipped with interdisciplinary expertise, a global perspective, and strong innovative capabilities.

We are recruiting outstanding scholars in the field of AI for Science, with a particular focus on:
1. Fundamentals of Al for Science
2. AI for Materials Science
3. AI for Life Sciences
Outstanding applicants in other closely related fields are also encouraged to apply.
1. A Ph.D. in a relevant field.
2. For Assistant Professor / Tenure-track Associate Professor Positions:
▪Postdoctoral experience or equivalent research experience at a globally recognized university or research institution.
▪Candidates are expected to have solid evidence of excellence in teaching/research/ service, and a strong track record of high-quality research/scholarship outcomes in the expertise area.
▪Candidates should demonstrate strong potential to become a leading scholar in the discipline.
3. For Tenured Positions:
▪Candidates should hold the title of Associate Professor /Full Professor (or equivalent) at a prestigious university or internationally renowned research institute.
▪Candidates need to demonstrate academic leadership, strong grants record and strong commitment to the highest standard of excellence.
4. Candidates are expected to possess solid expertise, exemplary academic integrity, and a collaborative spirit, with a strong interest and unique insights into interdisciplinary research at the interface of artificial intelligence and fundamental sciences.
The appointee will be based at the Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School. Salary and start-up funding will be competitive and commensurate with the appointee's qualifications and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible to apply for additional benefits through high-level talent schemes offered at the national level, as well as by Guangdong Province and Shenzhen Municipality.
