The School of Electronic and Computer Engineering (SECE) was founded in 2002, and it is the earliest school in PKUSZ. SECE inherits the academic traditions of Peking University and takes the advantages of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, explores the new school-running mode that integrates education, academia research and industry.

SECE is devoted to the post-graduate education in electronics and computation. SECE has about 100 faculty and staff members and more than 570 Master's and PhD students. More than 2500 graduates are playing active roles in industry and academia.

Established in 2025 at Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School, the School of AI for Science represents a strategic initiative by Peking University to address the scientific and industrial transformations of the intelligence era. As the world’s first higher education institution to establish AI for Science as an academic discipline, the School is dedicated to advancing the deep integration of artificial intelligence and fundamental sciences. It focuses on developing a dual-track mentorship system, pioneering a research paradigm that merges scientific first principles with big data, and fostering an open and collaborative innovation ecosystem.
