Vega enables private, efficient digital identity verification using zero-knowledge proofs (ZKPs) that prove facts—like age or professional status—from government-issued credentials (e.g., mobile driver’s licenses, EU Digital Identity Wallet) without exposing the credential itself. The credential remains on the user’s device. ZKPs are generated in under 100 ms on standard devices, with no trusted setup, making scalable privacy practical. Its “fold-and-reuse” technique drastically reduces computation for repeated proofs across services or AI agents. Built in Rust and soon to be open sourced, Vega addresses rising identity needs in an AI-driven world—where AI assistants and autonomous agents require secure, user-controlled trust mechanisms without compromising privacy or usability.
